On my first exploration of Carleton Campus I discovered something completely original to my eyes. Had I fallen down the rabbit hole? I’m certainly no Alice but this place seemed otherworldly.
Underneath the modern castle that is Carleton university lies a network of tunnels. Perhaps an illusion of the eye but the passages seemed to go on for miles. I clearly was not the first explorer to find this place as the walls were covered in sophisticated cave drawings; a reminder of what was and who remains.
I took photos of the awesome tunnel murals painted by past and present students. I hope you can share in my fascination.
