What do you do on a cold, wet day in a big city with seven of your friends?… The Museum of Nature, of course!
Our former housemate Brayden and his friend Jacqueline came to visit this weekend. On Saturday morning we woke up in hoodies and fluffy socks after socks after socks. Outside was wet. Inside was cold. The only natural assumption was that we would go to a museum; it’s warm, dry, entertaining and fun. And so we went, and it was cool.
We hung out with dinosaurs, put on x-rated puppet shows, petted baby hedgehogs, and discovered animals that we never knew existed. A museum might not be your first thought when you think of a group of 20-somethings having a day out, but we enjoyed ourselves and that’s all that really matters.
Erik took on the role of photographer for the day and here are some of his shots from our museum outing. These photos include myself, Becca, Oskar, Shannon, Shea, Erik, Jacqueline and Brayden.
A red cardinal and me.
Admiring the rocks and fantasising about making them into jewellery.
Meeting Pixlr; the six month old hedgehog who was very shy and very prickly.
Shannon and Becca petting Pixlr.
Oskar lost his rolex…
The elevators are huuuge.
I hope you enjoyed our photos of the museum, and I hope you all have a lovely day! Love Jill
